About Us
Isaac Heuchan
Isaac Heuchan was born and raised in South Tampa. He attended Coleman Middle School and Plant High School and he is now studying entrepreneurship at Florida State University. Isaac brings multiple years of experience and knowledge to The Skills Camp. While being in college, Isaac realized that there are many simple skills kids are not learning that should be taught before leaving home. He has designed and incorporated many of these skills into our curriculum. Isaac is now ready to be a mentor for the next generation of boys, in hopes of helping them become young gentlemen.
Lydia Kaliebe
Lydia Kaliebe also attended Plant High School. She is passionate about improving the Tampa youth community through our skills camp curriculum and mission of empowering the next generation. As our CEO and manager, Lydia coordinates with parents and organizes our curriculum. She focuses on education strategies and traditional skills that will prepare the next generation in our ever-evolving world. Some of Lydia’s favorite activities are participating in Best Buddies at FSU and cooking with friends.
Matthew Schobert
Matthew Schobert was raised in Tampa and now attends Florida State University. Camping is one of his favorite activities that he is excited to incorporate into The Skills Camp curriculum. Matthew also said that because he knew extra skills when he was younger, he was able to create more opportunities for himself. By knowing how to mow the lawn, Matthew was able to make a few extra dollars mowing neighbors’ lawns. He explained that this helped him to budget and motivated him to spend his money wisely.
Tristen Owens
Tristen Owens was also raised in Tampa, Florida. He attended Wilson Middle School, Plant High School, and how attends Florida State University. He’s been a camp counselor for two years at a local summer camp in Tampa and throughout high school he was involved in many extracurricular activities involving kids in the Tampa Bay area. One of his favorite activities is working out and running. He is our sports and physical activity Manager.
